Availability & build time

Chanters ordered via this page are built to order and normally dispatched within ≤ 75 days of ordering (target ~60 days). If a batch is temporarily marked “sold out”, advance orders still reserve the next available slot with a 50% deposit today and 50% prior to dispatch.

About the chanter

Developed in Scotland between 2006–2018 by Donald WG Lindsay, the Lindsay System Chanter is the original two-octave Scottish smallpipes chanter at the core of Lindstruments’ work. The design has been covered in Piping Today (2018–2020), and three early prototype sets are now held by the National Piping Centre’s Museum of Piping in Glasgow.
